Fees/Policies/Good Faith Estimate

Rates

Our fees vary depending on the service provided. For specific rates, please see the information page for the service that interests you.

Cancellation Policy

We charge for cancellations made within 24 hours of the session.

Payment Schedule

Payment is generally due at the time of service. For evaluations, a deposit of 50% of the evaluation cost is due at the initial meeting, and the remainder is due at the final testing session in order to ensure that a draft of the report will be ready at our feedback meeting. Currently, cash, checks and electronic payments (via Zelle) are accepted for all services. Credit card can be used for single session services (IQ Testing, Parent Guidance Sessions).

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Insurance

We do not take insurance directly; however, your insurance plan may offer coverage for some of our services. Please check with your insurance company to see whether reimbursement for out-of-network providers may be an option for you. Clients should plan to pay our fee directly and then attempt to collect reimbursement from your insurance company, as desired. After services are complete, we can provide you with a statement (called a "superbill") that you can submit to your insurance company. This statement includes the diagnosis, type of service, date of sessions, and fee.

Fee Adjustments

Mind Matters offers a limited number of fee adjustments for evaluations, based on family household size & total income. More information available here.
