As a licensed psychologist with graduate training in both school and clinical psychology, I am both familiar with the laws and policies that guide school-based services as well as the diagnosis and treatment of clinical disorders. Thus, I keep both clinical and educational needs in mind when assessing children and adolescents. My approach is strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, comprehensive, and culturally- and trauma-informed. I assess for learning differences (like dyslexia) as well as social-emotional and behavioral concerns, such as autism, anxiety, depression, trauma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and oppositional behavior. I enjoy helping youth and families navigate the complex special education system within the K-12 setting so they can thrive at school. Additionally, as a professor, I understand how to help young adults access services and accommodations in the postsecondary setting.

I have worked as an evaluator and therapist in many settings, such as: Title I K-12 schools, a private neuropsychological assessment practice, and an outpatient hospital. I completed my pre- and postdoctoral training at Casa Pacifica Centers for Children & Families in Camarillo, CA, primarily working in their Non-Public School (for children who require more intensive services and resources than can be provided in a comprehensive K-12 setting). Here, I provided individual and group therapy, parent coaching, testing for initial and reevaluations for special education, and transition planning for older students.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, going to concerts, and baking.
