A Strengths Based Approach
Throughout my clinical career, I have helped with a variety of issues, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties, anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. My approach combines evidence-based practices with compassion, aiming to make a positive impact on people's mental health and well-being. I work from a strengths-based perspective. This means I help children and adolescents understand their unique strengths and needs, so as to support their learning and healthy emotional development.
Research Interests
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, with a focus on Neuropsychological Assessment. Initially, I became interested in cognitive and socioemotional development while completing my BA in Psychology and Neuroscience at Stanford University. Subsequently, I trained in neuropsychology at UCSF, where I helped research the substrates of reading acquisition. My doctoral dissertation research on social development and "Theory of Mind" acquisition grew out of these professional experiences.
A Range of Clinical Experience
I have worked in various settings, including outpatient clinics, home-based interventions, and residential treatment facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care. This included therapy and assessment services at The Help Group Child and Family Center, and neuropsychological assessments at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. Recently, I completed my Postdoctoral Psychology Residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa. There I provided therapeutic services alongside neurodevelopmental and psychodiagnostic assessments.
In my free time, I enjoy surfing, backpacking, and sourdough bread baking.
