As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I am committed to helping individuals and families navigate their unique challenges through evidence-based assessment and treatment.  I am particularly passionate about trauma-informed care, recognizing the profound impact this can have on children and adolescents.

Educational Background and Early Career

I am a Bay Area native but lived and worked in New York for over 15 years. I completed my undergraduate studies at Cornell University, my master's degree at Teachers College, Columbia University, and my doctorate at Rutgers University. My early career included roles as a mental health counselor, research assistant, and case manager. Each of these roles contributed to my broad perspective and empathetic approach to psychological care.

Experience in a Wide Range of Settings

Throughout my career, I have worked with youth who present complicated clinical pictures in a variety of settings, including, private practice settings, early childhood and foster care agencies, child and adolescent inpatient and outpatient facilities, and a Non-Public School.  In these settings, I have provided therapeutic support, comprehensive psychological evaluations and clinical supervision, and worked with multidisciplinary teams.  Additionally, as Director of a school based mental health program, I collaborated with local school teams to address systems challenges impacting the social emotional and educational needs of youth.

My Current Focus

At Mind Matters, I assess learning and attentional challenges, as well as social emotional issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and oppositional behavior.   I enjoy helping families to navigate the complex systems (e.g. special education, regional center, social services) they face to obtain the proper support for their children. I also have a private therapy practice in the East Bay, providing parent coaching, and individual and family therapy for children and adolescents facing a variety of emotional and behavioral issues.

Personal Interests

Since my return to the Bay Area, I have enjoyed exploring local hiking trails, and taking dance classes.  During my free time, I also enjoy reading, baking and spending time with family and friends.
